Andalas and Emi eat together.

Rhinos Research

Scientists at the Cincinnati Zoo study rhinos. In 2001, a rhino named Emi gave birth to a baby. They named him Andalas. He was the first Sumatran rhino to not be born in the wild in 112 years.

The rhino that fell into the pit is called Pahu. She will settle in to her new home in a safe place. Her rescue is a big step toward saving Sumatran rhinos.

At the sanctuary, each rhino lives in its own section of rainforest.
