All About Chimpanzees

Jane Goodall studied chimps in the wild. She learned a lot about them. Here are some of the discoveries she made.

Goodall saw a chimp eating a dead animal. This was proof that chimps eat meat.

A chimp named Figan “kidnapped” a chimp named Flint to get the other chimps to follow him to a new place.

A “war” broke out between two groups of chimps. The war lasted for four years.

After three‑year-old Mel’s mother died, he was “adopted” by a chimp called Spindle.
